Hello! My name is Cobie Frank, and I am an alumnus from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Data Analytics along with minors in Engineering Sciences and Economics. My experience in technology, computer science, and statistics has led me to truly develop a passion and respect for the data analysis and engineering fields.Outside of work, I like to spend my time diving into fitness, recreational sports, technology, nature, and traveling. 1. Associate Data Engineer

   Southwest Airlines

   Jun 2024 — Present

   Current work: Building novel ETL pipelines using entirely Cloud-Native architecture to Extract data from a source, Transform/Clean the data, and Load the data into destination tables for downstream usage across Southwest. Primarily using AWS Services such as Glue(ETL Scripts written using PySpark), S3, Athena, Redshift, and CloudWatch.• Spearheaded the migration of customer reporting data from on-premise systems to a cloud-native architecture, refactoring complex SQL pipelines to integrate seamlessly with AWS Redshift for scalable, cost-effective data warehousing; implemented data governance practices to ensure quality, consistency, and secure access for customers. • Replatforming of legacy ETL processes to AWS Glue, leveraging PySpark for distributed data processing and S3 for efficient data storage; incorporating CloudWatch for monitoring and automation.• Collaborating cross-functionally with business stakeholders to ensure a smooth enterprise-wide transition to the cloud, optimizing report delivery and reducing infrastructure costs.• Designing and deploying interactive Alteryx Workflows and Tableau dashboards to replace legacy reporting tools (like SAP Crystal Reports), enhancing self-service analytics capabilities across departments.
