About Leila Nattagh
10 facts about me: 1. I started in sustainability 13 years ago when I didn\'t think a career in this field was possible. Ha! I\'ve worked in different settings from a science lab (published an article) to a warehouse, dermatology office, dumpsters (did a lot of waste audits) and even my own car (drove for Uber). I enjoy Taxonomy regulations and believe they\'re a powerful tool for directing finances towards sustainable action. If only governments would keep their word! I had my own business for 5 years where I helped small and medium sized businesses to measure their carbon footprint. I learned so much and met some amazing humans. In the end, I got burnt out. I believe in woowoo and have manifested some wild things. Like you reading my bio :) 6. I\'m an old soul. My perfect Sunday is baking blueberry muffins, reading poetry, and crocheting while cataloging the birds in the backyard. I\'m a 2X immigrant; from Iran to Canada and then from Canada to the US. It\'s made me adaptable, compassionate, and more communal. I\'m a self-learner. The summer before 3rd grade, someone told me I had to know the multiplication table before going back to school. So I learned it by myself. This skills has advanced my career more than any degree ever could. Even though I was a shy kid, I\'m not anymore. I\'ve got a knack for writing content and putting myself out there on LinkedIn to the point that I became a Top Voice in 2022. I\'m a mom of two beautiful girls.
