Recruited by Sonic USA as Division IT Manager for two of its seven divisions. One division is CBLPath, a national independent anatomic, molecular and digital pathology laboratory and the other is CPL-Southeast, a clinical pathology laboratory serving the southeastern U.S. Became part of a major downsizing resulting primarily from the effects of the Affordable Care Act. Managed two IT technicians in New York and three located in Florida and Georgia. Representative accomplishments included- Upgraded an archaic system to a 30 server system that supports 800 clients nationwide for CBLPATH (old system had been operating on Windows to 2012)- Stabilized a network that was failing each week to one with no downtime for CBLPATH by developing an infrastructure that rarely had any issues- Reduced CBL’S operating costs through IT analysis and equipment changes at many of over 200 client locations- Led three major IT migrations, combining two systems into one location in Augusta, Florida; migrating all systems onto Sonic USA’s platform; and converting CPL from a Nortel to a Cisco Call Management System- Created strong synergistic team across both divisions and cross-trained technicians so all locations had backup coverage at all times.
