About Chelsea Pohl
I thrive on bringing together people, industry trends and creative storytelling tactics to create breakthrough media cycles for technology advancements. I\'ve spent the past 12+ years working in tech communications with the last six dedicated to advancing Azure’s competitive differentiation across developer tools, IoT and edge services, customer stories and most recently, leading the company’s datacenter expansion and cloud sustainability story. I am passionate about technology’s impact on society and believe communications plays a powerful role in policy and how we live, work and play with technology. In my current role, I lead communications for Microsoft\'s Business Applications portfolio, which brings together cloud productivity, collaboration and developer tools and ready-made apps to enable line of business leaders, from the back to the front office, to be more productive and empowered in their day-to-day work. I\'m a life-long learner and believe in staying curious. One of my greatest accomplishments outside of work was the opportunity I had to do a month-long abroad program in Ghana as part of my Master\'s in Communication at the University of Washington. I chose to focus on mobile market information services and its social impact across rural and urban areas in the country and was proud to receive the 2014 Faculty Award for Outstanding Completed Research.
