FLIR Systems is the world’s largest commercial company specializing in the design and production of thermal imaging cameras, components and imaging sensors. 2019 revenue of $1.9 bn. In this role and reporting to the CFO, I lead provision of Finance & Accounting, Credit & Collection and Payroll through an outsourced, global Service Centre and Regional Centres of Excellence, with a total team of approximately 100. Key achievements include: Completed a feasibility study for Finance, recommending implementation of a Global Business Services model and a redesign of the FLIR retained finance team to improve focus on business partnering and decision support.Established a global centre for Finance transaction processing and US GAAP accounting and reporting in Bucharest, Romania, providing the infrastructure for process standardisation and automation and on track to deliver annualised savings of c.$2.5m.Currently implementing transformation roadmaps for main processes, improving compliance and driving process improvement.
