In 2019, a small group of CISOs from the Information Security Leadership Foundation (ISLF) identified a pressing security challenge: our companies faced relentless attacks from increasingly sophisticated adversaries. Despite investing millions in security tools, these solutions were frequently outpaced by evolving threats. The market was not meeting our needs for fast, agile, and innovative defenses. This led to the creation of Silicon Valley CISO Investments (SVCI). Our vision was to assemble a group of the brightest CISOs to collaborate with and mentor the most innovative security company founders, addressing the security gaps that our companies were experiencing.Today, SVCI comprises 65 CISOs who meticulously identify, partner with, advise, and invest in companies developing the cutting-edge cybersecurity tools our industry critically needs.
