For over 17 years, I’ve been a storyteller in radio, TV, and podcasts, connecting with audiences of over 5 million across South Africa, Dubai, Australia, and the U.S. But what I’ve learned is that the most important stories aren’t the ones we hear—they’re the ones we live. The problem is, many of those stories are never saved, and they disappear. I know this firsthand. I lost my grandfather’s stories, thinking I’d remember them, only to realize too late that they were gone forever. Then I had a frightening realization: my own stories were slipping away, too. After facing a life-threatening illness, it became clear—none of us know when our story will end, and our memories need to be saved now and continually. We worked closely with clinical psychologists who revealed something surprising—most of us have never truly experienced our own life journey.
