The First Tee was created in 1997 to provide young people of all ethnic and economic backgrounds an opportunity to develop, through golf and character education, life-enhancing values such as honesty, integrity and sportsmanship. By engaging young people in a combination of life skills, leadership, and golf activities, they also are exposed to positive traits that will help them achieve success in life. Work collaboratively with Board of Directors to establish policies that support The First Tee mission. Evaluate program and service data and provide detailed reports to the board. Provide overall management of all fiscal and program operations. Work with the board and manage staff to develop, implement, and maintain a fundraising plan. Run effective chapter programs, services, and activities, which fulfill the mission and goals of The First Tee.Represent the Chapter in the Washington Metropolitan area. Work collaboratively with Marketing and Communications committee to enhance awareness of The First Tee brand.
