Serves as a GOR for one active grant and one award still in development. • Drafts, clears, and issues policy and procedural guidance for use by U.S. delegations in relevant international forums, such as the biological weapons convention, and bilateral meetings on a variety of biosafety and biosecurity topics. • Analyzes the implications of developments related to biological weapons, biosafety and biosecurity, biodefense, and global health security for use by leadership and U.S. delegations in bilateral and multilateral meetings. • Negotiates and fosters multi-stakeholder support for policy initiatives to address specific challenges in biosafety and biosecurity, biodefense, and life science research oversight in bilateral and multilateral settings.
