WORK HISTORY
Metro Phoenix and Greater Arizona Regional Director @United States Senate
Phoenix, AZ, US
Current role includes outreach and policy responsibilities for a region that includes the entirety of the State of Arizona except for Cochise, Pima, and Santa Cruz Counties. The outreach tasks include performing the supervisory function for a team of regional representatives, and engaging state legislators, municipal leaders, county officials, agency managers, and business executives, among other constituent groups and individuals. The issue related matters include resource and energy policy, transportation topics, the border, Tribal issues, and, occasionally, banking, labor, and other economic subjects. I was a faculty member for the Water Law Institute\'s inaugural Colorado River Conference in October 2013. My topic was the Navajo-Hopi Settlement from a Legislative Perspective. Those attending the conference received continuing legal education credit. I spoke at the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry\'s November 2013 Air Quality Conference; I elaborated regarding the development of the exceptional events rule and Senator Flake\'s Commonsense Legislative Exceptional Events Reform Act. In April 2015, Governor Doug Ducey appointed me to the Governor\'s Archaeology Advisory Commission as a Federal agency representative. I presented to the Salt River Project\'s Healthy Forests Conference in October 2015.
