About Cassy Linder
Hello there, I\'m Dr. Cassy Linder! I LOVE helping DVMs & veterinary students navigate client consultations effectively!I\'m trained as a small animal veterinarian; during my years in practice I enjoyed working with clients & forming relationships just as much as I loved caring for their furry family members. But I watched colleagues struggle- struggle to gain client consent to provide patients with recommended care, struggle to form relationships with clients, & struggle to find joy in their job. The disconnect often boiled down to communication. A veterinarian can\'t provide the highest level of care without clearly & authentically communicating to owners WHY. Why is their pet experiencing these symptoms? Why do we need to run these tests? And why trust YOU to care for their four-legged friend? Veterinarians need consultation guidelines specific to the unique needs of vet med. The solution? WISE COACH - an evidence-based client consultation frameworks specific to the veterinary field, with a focus on relationship-centered care. As co-founder, director of curriculum development and delivery, & lead coach at Pet Practice Partners, I use my passion for communications and wellness to help veterinarians more successfully navigate the complexities of a veterinary client consultation. Research shows that WISE COACH has a profound impact on: client perception of competency and trustworthiness (and more!) client satisfaction and retention patient outcomeWould you feel more fulfilled in your career if your clients were happier & your patients got the care they needed? What makes VETERINARY client communication unique? The triad relationship: patient/animal, client, & veterinarian. Our patients cannot speak, so the veterinarian and client are tasked with working as a team to advocate for their needs. Financial: Few pets are covered by insurance, so veterinarians must regularly communicate with clients about finances. This is a challenging task, and evidence shows that breakdowns in this discussion, or failing to have this discussion at all, can damage the DVM’s relationship with the client. This ultimately means the pet doesn’t receive the care they need. Difficult topics: End-of-life & euthanasia discussions are an incredibly emotional and important part of veterinary client communication. WISE COACH includes tools to navigate these difficult conversations with empathy and understanding. Ask me about how WISE COACH can elevate your practice of medicine AND your wellness!
