Major policy accomplishments include passage of the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act of 2002 and subsequent extensions in 2005, 2007, 2015 and 2019. Founding steering committee member of the Business Continuity Coalition (BCC); the Coalition to Insure Against Terrorism (CIAT); the Natural Catastrophe Policyholder Coalition; Housing Affordability Coaltion; and RAND Corporation’s Center for Terrorism Risk Management Policy. Speak regularly to various business, academic and interest groups on national policy matters. Television appearances include the CBS Evening News, CNBC’s Squawk Box and PBS’ Nightly Business Report.
