I am a computational social scientist at McMaster University where I serve as the director of the Digital Society Lab, an interdisciplinary research centre that engages through scholarship and praxis with the complex societal transformations accompanying the digital era.I am also the academic director of the Master of Public Policy in Digital Society program, the first Canadian graduate degree of its kind to specialize in the implications of digital transformation for public policy and governance.Beyond academia, I have a strong entrepreneurial background, having founded and led several technology companies ranging from non-profit organizations to Silicon Valley-incubated, venture-backed start-ups.
