About Cliff L. Powell
Clifton Lewis Powell is a writer, director, and producer based in Los Angeles/ NYC. After leaving UC Santa Barbara and returning to the arts, Cliff found his way into the world of narrative storytelling — starting with a writing assistant role in scripted television. That experience opened the door to a development deal of his own and solidified his path as a screenwriter.While writing remains his foundation, Cliff quickly fell in love with the visual side of storytelling. He stepped behind the camera, leaned into directing, and was thrown into the fire — learning quickly and growing with every production. Today, he continues to direct and produce, often working in the branded and commercial space, with 10+ commercials under his belt across various roles.Cliff’s writing spans screenwriting, content writing, ad copy, journalism, treatment writing and food writing. He crafts stories that live on screens, in articles, in branded content, and sometimes even on menus. Whether he\'s writing a script, developing a treatment, directing a commercial or writing about the best seafood in LA — it’s all about his voice cannot be replicated.My happy place?
