Cliff is a clean energy finance expert who offers a diverse career as a business entrepreneur and energy and environmental sector specialist encompassing all aspects of management, marketing, project finance, policy and regulatory affairs. Since 1994 he has focused on international emerging markets in Eastern and Southeastern Europe, the West Balkans, Latin America and Sub-Saharan Africa.Today, Cliff is leading GreenMax\'s activities as a fund manager providing blended finance solutions for the off grid energy and e-mobility sectors throughout Africa. GreenMax co-manages the Clean Energy and Energy Inclusion Fund for Africa which provides a suite of funding instruments for green mini grids and productive use of energy vendors; and has developed and sponsored the Green4Access (G4A) First Loss Facility, which partners with local FIs to develop increase local currency lending in the energy access and e-mobility spaces; GreenStreet Africa DevCo, which is a Super Esco that aggregates DRE solar projects at public health and education facilities for financing; and GreenShift Africa, a trade facilitation and Technical Assistance platform for e-mobility companies.Specialties: Project finance, renewable energy and energy efficiency policy, housing renovation finance.
