Under general guidance from supervisor, manages and oversees the recruitment and employment of all faculty and staff of the university.Manages the day-to-day operations for all aspects of the recruitment and employment processes including, but not limited to, advertising, selection, hiring, and separation.Develops, monitors and updates recruitment and employment policies and practices to ensure compliance with Federal/State regulations, EEO/AA laws and guidelines, Department of Labor requirements, Systems Office and university policies.Schedules and conducts New Employee Orientation Program. Reviews policies and procedures with each new hire. Provide information to employees regarding their mandatory retirement plan and insurance options and the rules, requirements, and benefits of each plan.Manages the Employee Performance System for classified staff, ensuring compliance with Civil Service rules and University policy and procedures. Organizes the annual Faculty and Staff Service Awards Ceremony.Contributes to establishing and implementing organizational goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures; monitors and evaluates programmatic and operational effectiveness, and recommends and/or effects changes required for improvement.Oversees procedures and workflow to fulfill accurately and timely the data entry requirements regarding employment of employee populations, including but not limited to, full-time and part-time faculty, full-time and part-time staff, temporary personnel, graduate assistants, and student workers.
