Clete previously served as project manager and now principal-in-charge for the design of more than 75 major pipeline projects, totaling over 500 miles in length. These projects include numerous relocations, route selections, evaluation of pipe materials and joint designs, aerial crossings, creek crossing, TxDOT permits, COE section 404 permits, lake crossings, erosion control structures, meter stations, blowoffs, air release valves, directional drilling, auger boring, and tunneling. Clete is a “hands-on” engineer who believes in getting dirty and insists on on-site investigations. Clete has been with APAI for more than 25 years. Clete sits on the board of the Underground Construction Technology Association (UCTA) North Texas Chapter and also serves on an American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) committee tasked with writing the Manual of Practice on pressure pipe design.
