As a Senior Materials Manager at BorgWarner, I have over 20 years of industry experience in materials engineering, analysis, selection, research, and development for automotive and electronic components. I manage and administer a large materials engineering laboratory with an investment of 3.5 million dollars in equipment and a team of engineers.I am an expert in global environmental compliance and regulations for the auto industry, such as IMDS, ELV, RoHS, REACH, SVHC, Prop 65, and Conflict Minerals. I have helped BorgWarner and Delphi Technologies achieve product environmental compliance in a manner that balances risk and cost, and I have a thorough familiarity with suppliers, the components they manufacture, and the regulatory issues they face.I have also implemented innovation and continuous improvement methodologies at materials engineering to certify staff and close over 17 projects, resulting in revenue increase, value proposition, and business consolidation. I have earned two Mexico government grants for technological development and received multiple certifications in Red X, Green Belt, and Rolling Top 5.
