I help organisations improve how digital assets are organised and managed, so they can be found and used more easily and efficiently.If digital assets (photos, videos, text files, logos etc) are not discoverable, they may as well not exist. The search experience starts with metadata, but if your metadata is inconsistent or inaccurate, then your search results will be too. If you can’t trust what your search system delivers, then you can’t work efficiently, costing your organisation time and money. The goal is to create a streamlined search experience, but often, people don’t know how to search and what words to use. Administrators want efficient processes for uploading and managing assets, but often lack coherency when it comes to shared taxonomy and language. Digital Asset Management systems don’t come with keywording guidelines. As such, you might find you\'re repeating bad habits: applying generic keywords, letting typos and inappropriate terms slip through the net and increasingly, relying on auto-tags without checking for accuracy or relevance.
