Biomedical Scientist | Program Officer | Strategic Leader in Research AdministrationI\'m a biomedical scientist with a strong foundation in chemistry and structural biology, currently serving as a Program Officer in the Contraception Research Branch at NICHD. In this role, I manage a diverse and impactful portfolio of grants and contracts, leveraging my scientific expertise to support innovative research in reproductive biology and related areas. I bring expertise in drug discovery and infectious disease research, combined with a strong background in both scientific strategy and operational leadership.My career spans hands-on scientific research and high-level program management. I’ve supported numerous preclinical-stage programs and have led initiatives aimed at improving efficiency, transparency, and accountability in research operations. Previously, I managed operations for a 160-person academic department, overseeing the submission of over $130M in grant funding across a wide range of life science disciplines, from basic discovery to translational science.With a background in academic research, I bring a deep understanding to program strategy and scientific evaluation. I\'m experienced in developing strategic plans, implementing new processes, organizing scientific workshops and conferences, and building cross-functional collaborations. I\'m also passionate about mentoring, team development, and fostering iinnovative research environments.
