As a Sound Technician, I support live performances, lectures, and university events across SCU’s premier venues including Mayer Theatre, Fess Parker Studio Theatre, and the Recital Hall. My role involves technical setup and operation of sound systems, as well as cross-functional collaboration in lighting, staging, and front-of-house operations.Key Contributions- Provide technical support for concerts, theatrical productions, and academic events- Operate and troubleshoot audio equipment to ensure high-quality sound delivery- Assist with lighting, rigging, and stage management as needed- Maintain safety standards and support venue logistics- Collaborate with clients, artists, and production teams to deliver seamless experiencesThis role strengthens my adaptability, technical precision, and ability to work under pressure in fast-paced, creative environments. I’ve also gained insight into the operational side of performing arts and furthered my connection with the values-driven mission of SCU.
