Dedicated college student planning to attend medical school and pursue a career as a surgeon and professor, with three years of experience as a medical scribe in a family practice clinic. Strong foundation in both clinical and laboratory research, including a thesis publication (currently in process) focused on drug screening methods in pediatric emergency medicine, as well as laboratory experience investigating the effects of a potential anti-cancer agent on lung cancer cells in a cell culture lab. Active multi-subject tutor at my university and co-developer of a new astrophysics course, which is being integrating into the OBU course catalog. Committed volunteer, with experience leading community outreach organizations such as Backyard Bible Club, Tiger Serve Day teams, and tutoring middle/high school students in mathematics. Enriched academic and medical perspective through studying abroad in Spain and medical mission work in Zambia, enhancing my cultural competency.
