ABOUT CLAY RADU
Clay Radu has extensive experience as a senior information technology leader. He is an outgoing, high-energy leader who empowers team members to improve business processes through technology. Early in his career Radu started at Calgary’s top petroleum engineering consulting firm where he developed reserve economic software and became an Oracle DBA, focusing on the data side of client mergers and acquisitions over a 10-year span. Radu then directed the technology adoption of a significant number of M&A projects through another 10-year role. Radu then spent 12 years with Crescent Point Energy (now Veren), providing IT leadership and improving business processes. Clay governed the industry leading security practice at Crescent Point and provided leadership for storage, network, server, and data center and Cloud solutions. He is very well connected to both technology and energy solutions. He has managed the IT integration of over 120 M&A projects over 35 years. After studying business at University of Calgary he graduated from the Computer Technology program at SAIT. Clay has received awards for his active participation in the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP) and has acted as Chair of the CAPP CIO Forum. Clay represented CAPP with a Y2K Industry technology update to the Government of Canada in Ottawa in and is active on industry advisory boards. Clay received his Information Technology Certified Professional (ITCP) of Canada designation in 2009. Clay also achieved the Certificate of Leadership Excellence from the Banff Centre.Clay has the ability to understand business requirements and finds cost-effective technology opportunities to help with business process improvement. He has led service management initiatives using ITIL frameworks, data center and hybrid cloud transformation projects, security assessments, and other CIO level projects. Clay enjoys working with teams and empowering people to improve business processes through technology.Clay is an approved advisor through the Canadian Digital Adoption Program as well as being officially certified by the Digital Maturity Group.
