ABOUT CLAUDIO ORAZI
I graduated with honors in Electronic Engineering at \"LA SAPIENZA\" University in Rome. My graduation thesis was produced in collaboration with Mech Dept and was focused on active vibration control of a beam through piezoelectric effect. Dynamics, vibration, troubleshooting applied to turbomachinery were a constant theme in all my career applied to the whole industrial phase: theoretical design, production, testing and service.I started my career path in 2004 as Field Testing and Diagnostic Engineer. My position was part of Global Service Engineering department activity (vibration troubleshooting, site performance test and customer satisfaction).In 2011 I was nominated Senior Diagnostic Engineer and I started my technical career path into the Chief Engineering area.In 2012 I moved to the Research and Development department as Senior Rotordynamic Engineer. In this role I supported the development of advanced prototype of Gas Turbine (NPI) and non-standard rotordynamic model design and verification (data analysis, test rig, field test, problem solving).In 2019 I had a short experience as Test Project Engineer in Turbomachinery Technology Lab (Innovation dept). I was involved in the Bearing internal Test Bench project that will be dedicated for bearing performance characterization for both Journal and Thrust.Starting from April 2022 I covered the role of Senior Rotordynamic Engineer into the Product Engineering department for Steam Turbine and Axial Expander. I am responsible for successful execution of design, analysis, testing, prototype validation and industrialization of components, engine, integrated systems, shaft line and operability of the product.In Nov 2024 I was appointed as Principal Rotordynamic Engineer increasing my Technical Carrier Path into engineering dept.During the working experiences I have developed and applied a technical/scientific approach to problem solving in heterogeneous issues. Furthermore, I have reached a good bent to the teamwork and flexibility.
