Wide experience in Diesel engine technology, including design, structural analysis and noise, development, testing, injection systems, aftertreatment, electronic control. Almost 35 years activity in the Diesel engine field, most of the time leading advanced technology projects (within IVECO, first tests of common rail systems, first applications of electronic control, first applications of particulate traps and SCR, introduction of advanced statistical tools in engine development, etc…)- Management of complex, multi-functional projects. For example, the full development of a complete, integrated power pack for propulsion of a Diesel railcar (engine, transmission, cooling, auxiliary equipment for electrical generation, intake and exhaust systems)- Management of complex R&D teams in multi-cultural environment (China, Italy, France) with multi-national collaborators- Good knowledge of application of advanced Quality Systems (6-sigma) both in the development process and production process of new products, starting form the early development phase- Regarding the specific Chinese experience - Know-how of the specific HD engine market in China (manufacturers, suppliers, customers, legal requirements, etc…)- Capability to operate effectively in a Chinese working environment (relationships with colleagues and collaborators, working organization, etc…)- Capability to operate in an autonomous way in China.
