As a physician, researcher, administrator and educator with over 25 years of experience in mental health and women\'s health, I am passionate about advancing science and improving timely access to effective, evidence-based mental health care across the lifespan. My areas of expertise include: mood disorders, reproductive psychiatry & menopause, clinical trials, mobile health technologies, psychedelics research, and entrepreneurship.Currently, I am a Professor of Psychiatry at Queen\'s University, Canada, where I also serve as Director for the newly established Centre for Psychedelics Health and Research, overseeing the development and implementation of innovative clinical research and knowledge dissemination initiatives on psychedelics. I am also a Regional Clinical Co-Lead for Mental Health and Addictions for Ontario Health East. Ontario Health is the provincial agency responsible for ensuring access to high-quality care for all communities in Ontario. As President of The Menopause Society, I was honored to lead a multi-professional organization with more than members that is dedicated to improving the health of women at midlife and beyond.Currently serving as the Executive Director for the Canadian Menopause Society, I am excited to work with a phenomenal Board and promote education and dissemination of accurate, evidence-based information on midlife care to health care providers.Through these roles, I am committed to innovation and excellence in health care and wellness promotion, advocating for my colleagues, patients and their families.
