ABOUT CLAUDIA PODIO

I work as editorial coordinator at Skira in Milan. Within the publishing house, I am primarily responsible for managing projects for clients and museums in Arab countries (Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates), with books and catalogs in Arabic, English, and French. I attended a Master in Literary-Editorial translation from Arabic to Italian at Scuola Superiore per Mediatori Linguistici di Vicenza - FUSP, in order to delve into technical aspects of literary, editorial, and technical translation. I got a Master\'s degree in Languages, Economics and Institutions of Asia and Mediterranean Africa at Ca\' Foscari University of Venice. During the years of the Master I had the opportunity to increase my knowledge of Arabic Language, Economics of MENA\'s countries, their political institutions and social conditions. I graduated in Bachelor Program in Language, Culture and Society of Asia and Mediterranean Africa at Ca\' Foscari University of Venice, where I had the chance to study Arabic and Persian Languages and Literatures. I am fluent in Modern Standard Arabic (MSA), English and French, besides Jordanian and Egyptian Colloquial Arabic. In 2024, I published my translation of the Palestinian novel \"Onde di terra in Palestina\".
