In my role as Director of Early Literacy and Early Childhood, I lead district-wide efforts to strengthen early literacy outcomes, support the implementation of high-quality preschool programs, and provide professional development for educators. I collaborate closely with school principals to align preschool instruction with K–6 systems, promote strong school-community integration, and ensure compliance with Arizona Early Learning Standards and AZDHS regulations—all with the goal of building a strong foundation for every child’s academic and social-emotional success.I bring over 30 years of experience in K-20 education, with a focus on leadership roles at both the K-12 and university levels. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, a Master of Education in Educational Leadership, and a forthcoming Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership. My extensive experience includes serving as a principal at various levels, working in educational outreach, and leading initiatives that promote college readiness and family engagement. These roles have equipped me with a deep understanding of educational systems, strategic planning, and community collaboration.
