Member of the Genie Supply Assurance Quality Engineers Genie corporate team, who work globally assessing, grading, and improving supplier performance. I am the Principal Engineer on the Welding and Fabrication team. The team is composed of subject matter experts. We monitor global supplier quality performance metrics. Typical assignments are to mentor under achieving companies with the goal improve performance quality metrics via continuous improvement activities. I assess performance issues, trouble shoot, implement continuous improvement programs, monitor action plans and accomplishments. The job’s objective is to engage with low performing suppliers, help them develop their performance metrics to become a qualified Genie supplier. My charter is to resolve problems, work with supplier teams, teach suppliers how to self-correct their course, support developing and maturing their manufacturing and quality systems to enable them to perform proficiently in the Genie / Terex supply chain system.
