I’m a reporter who loves telling stories and exploring how the world works. I focus on climate, insurance, the environment and energy issues — how we’re adapting to the crisis, the stories of communities on the frontlines burdened with pollution from industry, and the policies that keep us where we are or take us forward. But my journalist tool kit is deep: With 10 years of experience, I’ve covered issues and events as varied as national disasters, major American political events, mass shootings, immigration, federal policy and political finance. I thrive in a fast-paced breaking news situation just as much as I do taking time to dig deep on a nuanced story. I\'m an Idaho-raised, Arizona-educated resident who calls Brooklyn home (but has a soft spot for Philadelphia). The goal is to explain and translate the complex universe of regulations, complaints and briefs in a way that will resonate with everyday news consumers - and, importantly, give those readers a realistic understanding of how those important systems operate.
