ABOUT CLARISSA SOSIN
I write, report, and edit. I photograph, produce videos, and record audio. I investigate, document and research. I let the story dictate the medium and specialize in long form storytelling –– no matter the format. I’ve spent much of the past five years focused on criminal justice in the U.S. but I love nothing more than immersing myself in new topics. Whether its local politics in Queens, NY, the Liberian healthcare system after the Ebola epidemic, or corrective rape in a township in South Africa, I will learn everything I can about the topic in front of me. My work has appeared on the Juvenile Justice Information Exchange, WNYC, the New York Daily News, the Associated Press, Wondery Media, The Appeal, the Mail & Guardian and more. I live in Brooklyn but am currently finishing up two grant funded projects: one on an investigation into a police department in Louisiana and the other a long form narrative project about life without parole.
