ABOUT CLARENCE HAYNES

A dedicated and results-oriented Police Detective with over 10 years of experience in law enforcement, with 7 years of those years in criminal investigations. Currently a Criminal Investigator who specializes in gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, using modern technology to analyzing information in order to solve crimes, identifying suspects, building cases, and apprehending criminals. I work in General Investigations, so I have the background to investigate any crime. I specialize in major and financial/ fraudulent crimes, particularly homicides, robberies, carjackings, cont. financial crimes enterprises, exploitation of an elderly or disabled persons and sex assaults. I am certified as a Juvenile Officer, Breath Analysis Operator, Crime Scene Investigator, Field Training Officer, a Licensed Drone Pilot, a Lead Homicide Investigator, and commissioned as a Certified Notary Public. I worked in Special Operations as a Tactical Detective in a Gang, Drug, and Gun Enforcement Unit. I collaborated with surrounding departments while working in a multi-jurisdictional drug and gun enforcement unit, while being a member of the Calumet Regional Public Safety Network (C.R.P.S.N.) Task Force. I have also investigated numerous homicides while being member of the Illinois State Police South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force (S.S.M.C.T.F.). I am proficient in report writing, testifying in court, and knowledgable about court room procedures. I am committed to working with other sworn officials, and like-minded individuals in order to bridge the gap between law enforcement and the public, in order to increase the safety and security within our communities.
