As part of the \'Future\' programme, Europe’s largest IT transformation project, I managed the recruitment for Asda’s transition to a new operating model, independent of Walmart. This ambitious programme impacted all areas of the business, including head offices, stores, and distribution centres.End-to-End Talent Acquisition Leadership: Managed the full recruitment process, from job adverts to offers and hires, recruiting hundreds of permanent employees, contractors, and fixed-term staff to support the £800 million transformation programme.Team Leadership & RPO Onboarding: Led a team of 10 Talent Acquisition specialists and recruiters, overseeing the onboarding of an RPO (Recruitment Process Outsourcing) solution. This included managing a mix of onshore and offshore resources across Europe.High-Volume & Senior-Level Recruitment: Recruited across various levels, from administrative support roles to senior director positions, to ensure that the programme’s diverse talent needs were met.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborated closely with senior leadership and stakeholders to identify and address talent needs across various business functions, supporting the transformation of 2,500 systems within the organisation. This included attending weekly organisational development meetings with senior directors, the CIO, and key business partners.Strategic Workforce Planning: Worked alongside leadership teams to forecast talent needs for the programme’s various phases, ensuring seamless recruitment alignment with programme milestones.Cost Management & Resource Allocation: Contributed to the recruitment budget by managing resources effectively, ensuring optimal cost-to-hire ratios without compromising on candidate quality.Technology & Transformation Focus: Played a pivotal role in sourcing top talent for the tech-heavy aspects of the transformation, helping to bring on experts across development, IT infrastructure, and digital transformation.
