ABOUT CLARE DUNKERLEY

I am Head of Consulting for Otto Simon Limited. I have a technical background in process safety and functional safety engineering.I continue to use my technical skills offering services directly to clients and as part of our internal project delivery service. In addition, I am responsible for maintaining our consultancy offering to a high level, coordinating our internal and external associates to provide our clients with bespoke advice to enable them to achieve their compliance goals.I am a registered Functional Safety Engineer with TUV; providing services including Functional Safety Management, LOPA, SIF architecture design, software specification and Functional Safety Assessment. As a Process Safety Consultant, I have over a decade\'s experience in workshop facilitation, risk assessment, gap analysis, training and provision of advisory services for the management of major accident hazards. I have worked with a wide variety of clients including those in offshore oil and gas, onshore gas, petrochemicals and LNG sectors. Over the last five years I have multi-project experience in the fast-growing hydrogen sector. I had the privilege of providing the basis of safety for the HyDeploy project at Keele, and have followed this with support to DesNZ funded fuel switching trials as part of HyNET in the North West of England.As well as more traditional Energy and Chemical projects in the North West, OSL specialise in helping emerging technology companies scale up their lab processes to pilot and demonstration plants and beyond. This requires a depth of knowledge as well as innovative thinking, pragmatism and creativity. Skills I continue to develop with each new challenge.
