Over 20 years of experience in the veterinary industry. Clara has held many positions from Kennel Assistant to Practice Manager. She has been in a management/leadership role for over 7 years. Clara has focused a majority of her career on management of 24-hr emergency & specialty hospitals. She recently has started a management role in general practice. Her focus was implementation of a payroll budget for developing specialty departments, monitored the progress, & comparing data to KPIs. She assisted the hospital administrator in preparing and analyzing P&L’s reports. Using SWOT analysis to assist in business decisions, she was the project manager in retirement plan (401k) start up and assisted with employee benefit information. Along with increasing efficiencies among staffing, processing, inventory and operations, she achieved success through coaching and training employees in leadership roles for personal and professional development. Some of her best work has been to create a unique & effective staff recruitment process, training for current employees and new hires, hiring & promoting motivated candidates to supervisory & management positions, creating and implementing SOP for technical staff and associate doctors to ensure patient care standards were upheld.
