ABOUT CLARA LACHMAN
My name is Clara Lachman and it is my aspiration to contribute to a future of flourishing. At a time when the global world order is fraying, I believe a new narrative can help humanity transition towards a state of peace, prosperity, and trust. In line with this mission, I am currently pursuing my Masters degree in International Affairs at The Norman Paterson School of International Affairs at Carleton University, specializing in the field of Diplomacy and Foreign Policy. Through this program, I aim to explore what a reimagined model of global governance and collaboration may look like, and how states can actively steward human civilization towards global peacemaking. I previously served as an Analyst with the Respectful and Inclusive Workplace business line at the Canada School of Public Service. In this role, I helped advance diversity and inclusion among the federal public service, aiding in the development of learning products on equity, diversity, and inclusion, systemic racism and discrimination, accessibility, Gender-based Analysis Plus, and 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusion, among others. Prior to government, I worked with several well-being startups, helping to democratize behavioural science, cognitive neuroscience, and positive and humanistic psychology to global audiences in the United States of America, New Zealand, Australia, and Europe. With 7+ of combined experience in business, entrepreneurship, law, public policy, and well-being, I take an innovative approach in intersecting these diverse fields to ideate solutions that contribute to a better tomorrow. In my free time, I frequently write and present on topics including human and planetary flourishing, the future of democracy and governance, exponential technologies and ethics, meaning 3.0, augmented humanity, and women, peace and security. As a leading Next Generations voice on the future of humanity, I believe it is through conversation and collaboration that we can reimagine civilization’s current narrative and write a new story that works for everyone.*Please note that all views expressed are my own*
