ABOUT CLARA VAN WIEREN
Clara Van Wieren is a captain of the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) NCAA Division I Women’s Ice Hockey team. Passionate about community engagement, she is her hockey team’s Community Volunteer Coordinator. Clara is a second year intern with the University Athletic Department where she is Co-President of the Department of Athletics Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Council, which she helped found. She is the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Co-President where she represents and advocates for the concerns of over 500 student-athletes. After working closely with the University Athletic and Development Offices and many community organizations, Clara is currently seeking an internship in the philanthropy and sports sectors.
