In my current internship, I perform both office and field work. In the office, I prepare geotechnical proposals, conduct research on geohazards and soil conditions at project sites, and contribute to the drafting of final geotechnical reports. I also perform various calculations, including soil temperature and thermal resistivity calculations in order to support projects. Additionally, I create detailed boring logs to document soil conditions observed during site visits. In the field, I log soil borings to record subsurface conditions and have conducted Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP) testing to evaluate soil strength and compaction. Throughout this role, I have learned to use new software tools such as gINT, enhanced my technical skills, and broadened my engineering perspective within the geotechnical field.
