About Clara Carrasco
Yo crecí al norte del Rio Grande. Nestled between the Uncompahgre Plateau and the snowcapped San Juan Mountains. In other words, I come from rural Colorado! I am a proud child of Mexican immigrants and am the first in my family to attend university. Coming from Montrose Colorado to South Central Los Angeles I have had the opportunity to learn and assist various communities I have only read about while growing up. The Brown Berets of East LA, the houseless who reside at Skid Row, Native Americans from various regions, 4 Lifers from various CA prisons, and the list goes on an on! Republican or Democrat, rich or poor, white or black, immigrant or citizen, victim or defendant, I am merging my passions to advocate for systemic reform that will provide liberty and justice for all.
