About Claire Mason
I’m a strategic HR and talent leader focused on Employee Value Proposition (EVP), employee experience, and enterprise talent strategy. In my current role at BASF, I built and now lead the North America EVP and employer brand strategy—designing the framework, securing global alignment, and leading execution through a combination of internal teams and agency partners. I also represent the U.S. and Canada on the enterprise Global Employer Branding Team, where I help shape global strategy and ensure regional priorities inform enterprise decisions. My work sits at the intersection of HR, talent acquisition, and business strategy. I partner closely with HR Business Partners, Total Rewards, and recruiting teams to align talent attraction and employee experience with workforce priorities and organizational goals. A key part of my role has been designing the operating model for employer branding and recruitment marketing—creating clarity between strategy and execution, improving scalability, and strengthening alignment across functions. Earlier in my career at Prudential, I led recognition and Total Rewards-related initiatives, building a strong foundation in how employee programs drive engagement, retention, and performance. In addition to my core role, I serve as Relationship Co-Chair for the Florham Park African American Employee Resource Group (AAEG), where I lead strategic planning, community partnerships, and initiatives that amplify employee voice and strengthen organizational culture. I have been nominated for 2026 National AAEG Vice President, reflecting my commitment to inclusive leadership and measurable impact. I’m particularly passionate about connecting strategy to experience—ensuring organizations not only attract top talent, but create environments where people thrive, perform, and feel a true sense of belonging.
