About Claire Griffin
My passion for renewable energy began while studying in Chile, where I researched the forces behind the global energy transition. That project led me into an experimental physics lab, where I helped design and test a novel solar-thermal prototype and published our findings in the Journal of Renewable and Sustainable Energy.After graduating, I joined Avangrid’s transmission business development team, contributing to proposals for high-voltage transmission lines, substations, and converter stations across ISO-NE, NYISO, and CAISO. I worked closely with engineering and construction partners to deliver accurate, realistic, and compelling development packages.Curiosity for wind innovation eventually brought me to Vestas, where I first supported offshore projects by helping shape technical solutions that balanced performance, cost, and risk. I’ve since expanded into Service and Repower, where I work with customers to unlock additional value from existing assets while managing risk and technical performance.
