About Claire Pendergrast
Social science researcher and experienced public health practitioner working to uphold health and independence for older adults and people with disabilities in communities across the country. I use qualitative and quantitative research methods to understand how community-based organizations provide services for older adults, evaluate the impact of long-term care services on care recipients\' health and wellbeing, and identify effective programs and policies for reducing inequality across the life course. I am passionate about applying my research skillset to real-world problems and supporting local, state, and federal efforts to ensure all older adults and people with disabilities have equitable opportunities to live vibrant and healthy lives and remain in their homes and communities as long as possible.
