Managing bids in a variety of sector(s), predominantly insurance, by:•Probing and challenging the bid invitation• Identifying possible risks to the business and ensuring compliance with internal risk management and conflict checking procedures•Using project management techniques to ensure a well-planned, organised and controlled process, driving the bid forward•Forming a view on a solid commercial basis as to the win strategy for each bid and articulating to the team•Managing bid strategy meetings•Formulating models for an attractive and profitable offer •Ensuring bids are compelling, well-written, attractive and accurate•Coaching and guiding teams on effective presentation techniques•Managing the bid pipeline•Understanding and investigating external models for bid best practice.•Developing and implementing sector strategy, client plans and service line plans •Identifying market opportunities, in both the UK and internationally and working with teams to develop and sell new products/service•Working with external research companies, commissioning and interpreting market and competitor research to inform sector strategy and BD activity•Proactively measuring and analysing overall financial performance at both sector and service line level and feeding in data to key stakeholders to inform decision making•Liaising with teams to drive client feedback and ensure that service delivery is refined as appropriate.
