ABOUT CLAIRE S.
I lead the Precision Silviculture Programme at Forest Growers Research in New Zealand, bringing together a diverse team of researchers, innovators, engineers, and clever thinkers to drive real change in forestry. Whether through smart machines, new digital technologies, or micro innovations that support manual work, the programme is about transformation—powered by data. With a $25.5M grant from the Sustainable Food and Fibre Futures fund over seven years, we’re unlocking new value and reshaping forest production and management.I bring over 19 years of experience across Australasia and the UK in technology, innovation, marketing, strategy, and leadership.I completed the Institute of Directors’ Company Directors’ Course in 2025 and actively contribute to both organisational and community governance. I hold local community board and advisory roles. I’m passionate about building genuine partnerships and co-designing practical, forward-thinking solutions that deliver real impact.
