ABOUT CLAIRE TROTT
Over 20 years experience in the pensions industry. I started at FPS where I progressed to a financial adviser specialising in pension transfers. This gave me detailed insight into the challenges that face advisers in an increasingly demanding environment and the need for high levels of technical support from the partners they choose. In 2005 I joined Suffolk Life and began to focus on SIPPs and income drawdown, managing technical issues from advisers and liaising with HMRC. I have been regularly quoted in the media and feel I can be a useful source of information to journalists. I have been and continue to be a keynote speaker and presenter at national and local events focusing on retirement issues.I joined Talbot & Muir in 2013; my responsibilities include pensions technical queries, public relations, social media, seminars, presentations as well as building and maintaining relationships with advisers. I am now Head of Pensions Strategy at Technical Connection Ltd, this involves a wider range of pensions issues helping advisers as well as Partner at our parent company St James\'s Place. Specialties: Technical aspects of pensions and unusual situations, especially in the SIPP and SSAS area. Historic knowledge of occupational pensions regimes.
