I came to policy through music — and I\'ve never looked back.As NAMM\'s Associate Director of Public Policy, I advocate for an industry that puts instruments in the hands of students, sustains tens of thousands of small businesses, and makes the case every day that music education is essential, not optional.Over the past decade-plus, I\'ve built and joined coalitions, managed federal advocacy campaigns, navigated trade and regulatory policy (tariffs, CITES, Lacey Act), and helped steer NAMM\'s annual D.C. Fly-In through its 20th year. Recently, I re-launched the SupportMusic Coalition — a national network uniting music education advocates across states and sectors.I thrive in the fast-moving space where policy, communications, and stakeholder relationships converge.
