Time for an update and new profile pic after 5 years! A relatively short time in #regen but a lot has happened! Still versatile, inquisitive and somehow still with infectious enthusiasm because she’s now found her why! Moving things forward towards better. The last three years in the role of Senior Programme Officer /Project Manager with a specific focus on #Shrewsbury, her home town has crystallised this. During that time there has been heavy involvement with multiple successful awards for external funding:#LUF2 #CIL and #UKSPF and plans for much more for #ActiveTravel,#DfT snd #HomesEngland (all being well!)Undertaken Strategy development and associated consultation - Shropshire Economic Growth Strategy and Shrewsbury Movement and Public Space Strategy both taken through to adoption by Shropshire Council and Design Guidance for Shrewsbury Town Centre in train. Add to that numerous delivered projects such as Shrewsbury Moves eBike programme (250 bikes) now in use across the town and safe cycle storage on its way, an exciting public art project on #NetworkRail tunnels and a living history project: Riverside Remembered to accompany the Smithfield Riverside Redevelopment Programme. Resulting in a bit of an ‘all rounder’, a convener and connector who knows the true value of collaboration and relationships across the public and private sector. Colleagues have said I have a useful set of skills: difficult to define but useful to have around! I enjoy developing projects from scratch and getting projects off the ground and keeping them moving because there is ALWAYS a solution - by asking the right questions and engaging the right people!Always open to new ideas, new ways of working, new insights, evidence and experts to make a difference and improve what we do. With the right mindset things happen. The harder I work the luckier I get!
