ABOUT CLAIRE BURKE
I am a current senior at Barnard College in New York City majoring in English with a minor in environmental humanities. My thesis explores how Emily Dickinson\'s representation of the environment in her poetry shifted due to her interactions with the Civil War. I am passionate about how narratives create and shape physical, social, and cultural environments. I hope to pursue this interest through a career in journalism, editing, and publishing.
