ABOUT CLAIRE TILSON

I am a Community Development Manager with 15+ years’ experience working within community support. Expert in designing, delivering and evaluating community development programs, I address local gaps in provision within disadvantaged communities. Having begun my career as a Community Nurse I then became a Community Practice Worker. For the past 4 years I have been Community Development Manager at The Healthy Living Centre. Notable career highlights at The Healthy Living Centre include: Developing a gender identity youth group to support over 10 young people, and their parents / guardians, through their journey. Extending course provision for ethnic minority service users to deliver long-term support, developing The Ethic Minority Social Circle to support over 400 regular attendees across Buckinghamshire. Transforming the Public Health England Health Improvement Activity provision, delivering over 20 activities collaboratively with over 80 local partners and healthcare professionals. I am skilled at analyzing and interpreting data to develop realistic plans and recommendations that optimise funding opportunities. I implement tailored engagement strategies to raise public awareness and promote services to the local community.I am passionate about building and motivating teams to achieve their best, developing a talented and trusted workforce that achieve collective goals and individual professional development.
