As the Director of Mobility at Innovate UK, I am at the forefront of driving sustainable innovation within the realm of mobility as part of our Net Zero Domain. In this role, I lead strategic transport initiatives aimed at accelerating the transition to a net zero economy, collaborating closely with industry, research institutions, and government bodies. I will be looking at issues as diverse as sustainable aviation fuels, EV battery developments, sustainable shipping, drone technology, hydrogen transport, aerospace, low and zero emissions propulsion systems, connected and autonomous vehicles, novel materials for low carbon infrastructure and new transport modalities. Leading a team of 42, delivering across 18 programmes - my responsibilities include shaping the future direction of our Mobility portfolio, guiding strategic investments, delivery of managed programmes, and fostering partnerships to develop cutting-edge technologies and services. By addressing transport and mobility challenges, IUKs Net Zero Domain, has opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the global sustainability agenda and address Net Zero targets.
